Day 5 – Lola-Aston Martin DBR1-2 LMP1 | Based on the Lola B09/60 LMP1 car by Lola Cars, the Aston Martin Racing DBR1-2 saw the standard chassis equiped with new bodywork, gearbox, rear suspension and the installation of a GT1-spec 6.0 litre Aston Martin V12 engine.
Day 4 – Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 | Based on the road/race Vantage N24 model which had run so well in the Nurburgring 24 Hour race, the GT4 was an obvious next step to complete the range of Aston Martin race cars for GT1, GT2, GT3 & GT4.
Day 3 – Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 | Developed from the V8 Vantage N24, the first full-house, new-generation Vantage racecar was officially announced in January 2008.
Day 2 – Aston Martin DBRS9 GT3 | Unveiled in 2006 as customer/privateer version of the DBR9 GT1 car for use in the then new GT3 class of international racing, the car was based on the road-going DB9 model with a DBR9-based roll cage and carbon fibre body panels as well as modified gearbox and suspension.
Day 1 – Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 | The DBR9 saw the Aston Martin name return to top class racing, debuting in GT1 racing during the 2005 season with a bespoke race car based on the DB9 platform.
Over the next 7 days we will run through the amazing Goodridge-supported Aston Martin Racing cars which appeared on track at the Aston Martin Le Mans Festival Race 2015.
Britain’s Harry Tincknell has missed out on claiming the prestigious European Le Mans Series title for a second consecutive year. Tincknell, who celebrates his 24th birthday later this month (29 Oct), was denied the coveted Drivers’ “crown” along with JOTA Sport team-mates Simon Dolan and Filipe Albuquerque after the trio finished fourth in the fifth and final race of the season in Portugal today (18 Oct).
