7 Days of Aston Martins – Day 1
Day 1 – Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 | The DBR9 saw the Aston Martin name return to top class racing, debuting in GT1 racing during the 2005 season with a bespoke race car based on the DB9 platform.
Large amounts of aero modifications, intensive weight saving, strengthened suspension and extensive development of the 6.0 litre Aston Martin V12 engine top the list of changes from the road version of the chassis. The car weighed 1100kgs, produced 600bhp and was run by the works team and privateers Worldwide from 2005 until 2011. This car is fully plumbed with Goodridge 600-Series (brakes & clutch), 700K-Series (gearshift & water), 710-Series with JIC & Wiggins connectors (fuel, oil & water) and a bespoke HL836 hardline system (brakes & airjack).
