7 Days of Aston Martins – Day 6
Day 6 – Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 | Developed during the second half of 2011 as a replacement for the DBRS9 model, the Vantage GT3 was a ground-up new racecar based on the Vantage V12 road car.
Featuring a modified 6.0 litre V12 engine (moved well back in the chassis for better weight distribution), bespoke Xtrac sequential gearbox and a heavily developed aero package with carbon fibre bodywork. The car weighed 1250kgs, produced 600bhp, and has been run by the works team and privateers all over the World since 2012. This car is fully plumbed with Goodridge 600-Series (brakes, clutch & gearshift), 711-Series & 910-Series with JIC & Wiggins connectors (fuel & oil), and bespoke HL836 hardline systems (brakes & airjack).
